We’re excited to announce that on 11th June Brussels Airport Company acquired the assets and technology of Sky Fresh!
The current Sky Fresh customers will be able to continue to use the Sky Fresh web and mobile applications as usual. These app will be further developed and enhanced in the near future.
For the coming years, multiple application concepts are prioritized in collaborations with the BRUcargo community. These application concepts can be found in the BRUcloud Beehive, our digital roadmap. For many of these apps there is an opportunity in re-using the Sky Fresh technology, supporting our ambition to further digitize and streamline cargo communities’ processes. Sky Fresh already has several BRUcargo and international air cargo customers using their application in their day-to-day operations.
The existing functionality of Sky Fresh in a nutshell:
Sky Fresh is digitizing checklists, where the digitization of a “checklist” needs to be seen in the broadest sense of the word. Via the web platform the administrator of a company or community creates a checklist which needs to be completed at a milestone in the processing/handling of the goods. Options are completing checklists questions, but also taking a photo in case of damaged goods, integration with real-time data trackers… In the mobile application one or more checklists and flows are then shown based on the user-role or the characteristics of the shipment. The tool collects the data and answers on the checklist’s questions. A specific answer can trigger an automated communication or real-time notification.
